Everyone is welcome to come play and socialize! Our 8th grade students and parents have been working tirelessly to raise funds for their end of the year trip.
Our monthly family night will be a family literacy afternoon on Thursday, February 29, 2024, starting with lunch at 12:00 PM and classroom activities from 1:00-3:00 PM. Come and enjoy an afternoon of literacy activities with your student.

Our 5th grade leadership students have implemented a monthly reading challenge. Their goal is to get students to love to read! Our January classrooms with the most books read will receive lunch of their choice. The classes with the second most read books will receive banana splits.

Hi Isna Wica Family and Staff,
At Isna Wica Owayawa, our top priority is ALWAYS the safety and well-being of our students. We are in the process of arranging for a specially trained K9 (drug dog) to visit our school. During the visit, the K9 and the OST DPS K9 officer will be conducting an inspection of the School for the presence of drugs.
This proactive step is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure there are no illegal drugs in School

Congratulations to one of our students and a former student. For winning in the Young Warrior with Braids Contest sponsored by Oglala District Councilman Tyler Yellow Boy and the OST TEA office.
Brayden Red Owl won the Young Warriors with Braids in the 9-11 yr old category with his braid measuring at 26 inches long. Brayden got a beautiful star quilt and other gifts.
Our former student Rueben Looks Twice Jr. won the 15-18 year old category. Rueben's hair measured at 50 inches! His second time winning, the first time was at Boys with Braids conference in California, he took 1st place there.
Congratulations and we are very proud of you!

Today, we learned she was a student and attended Loneman School when her mother was a teacher at Loneman. We are very proud of this young lady and we hope she will visit our school soon.
